The Constitutional Council on Tuesday suggested Deep Basnet for the post of head of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA).

Basnet has been functioning as the acting CIAA Chief after an indictment movement was enlisted against then boss Lok Man Singh Karki.

Karki was consequently suspended from the top post of CIAA taking after the enrollment of indictment movement against him, as indicated by the sacred arrangement. He was prescribed as the head of sacred hostile to unite body on the premise of position
