News About Shusila karki

The International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) has approached the Government of Nepal and decision gatherings to pull back the reprimand movement recorded against Chief Justice Sushila Karki to guarantee legal freedom and fitting partition of forces.

In an announcement on Tuesday, the ICJ said the move debilitates the freedom of the legal and the control of law.

“This prosecution movement, the first against a sitting Chief Justice in Nepal’s history, raises intense worries about the freedom of Nepal’s Supreme Court and the division of forces in the nation,” Matt Pollard, leader of the ICJ’s Center for the Independence of Judges and Lawyers, said in the announcement.

The reprimand movement comes in the wake of the choice of the full seat of the Supreme Court, led by CJ Karki, to disavow the Cabinet’s February 12 choice to choose another Inspector General of Nepal Police apparently infringing upon existing procedures and directions.
